Refund policy
The Market’s return and refund policy is based on how the purchase was made: in-store or online via the Market’s e-commerce platform.
In-Store Purchases
- Returns or exchanges require the original receipt. Products being returned must be unopened, unused, and in its original packaging.
- Due to food and health safety concerns, returns are not available for products under Single Serve, Dairy, Produce, Meat, Seafood, Frozen and Bakery, or Personal Care categories unless there is a quality issue.
- Merchandise will be accepted for exchange or refund in-store within seven (7) days of purchase starting from the date on the original receipt. Exchanges only after the eighth (8) day and up to the twenty-first (21) day.
If the above conditions are met, an exchange or refund according to the payment method will be processed. The Market reserves the right to make the final decision on any exceptions or changes to this policy.
On-line Orders
Please inspect the order upon receipt and contact us immediately at info@washingtoncommunitymarket.ca or 604-428-9605 if any products are defective, or damaged or if the wrong item was delivered so that the Market can review the matter and make it right.
The return and refund conditions set out above for in-store purchases apply to online purchases with the following differences:
- Merchandise will be accepted for exchange or refund within seven (7) days of purchase starting from the date the customer’s order is received. Exchanges only after the eighth (8) day and up to the twenty-first (21) day.
- To initiate an exchange or refund, contact the Market at info@washingtoncommunitymarket.ca, Monday to Friday when the Market is open and a Market representative will get back to you within 24 hours.
- If your return is accepted, you’ll receive instructions from us via email on how to return the products. Items sent back to us without approval via email will not be accepted.
- Upon written confirmation of a refund, it can take several days for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund. Please contact us if you haven’t received a refund seven (7) days prior to written confirmation.
